Fox Models International "FMI" was founded in 2001 by top model scouts Keith & Steve Fox, FMI was created to give potential models the opportunity to meet the top modeling agencies from around the world. FMI has discovered & placed over 250 models at the most prestigious agencies in the industry. Our mission is to provide aspiring models a unique opportunity to be educated on the industry and to ultimately be discovered by leading agencies and begin a career. Keith Fox – Founder
Keith Fox founded FMI, he began his career in 1998 as a scout for Model Search America. Working across North America he honed his skills and reputation and is now recognized as one of the top model scouts in the industry. Impressed with his vision for finding fresh new faces, two of the most prestigious modeling agencies in the world, Elite and Wilhelmina, demanded exclusivity of his talent. Driven and inspired, Keith and his brother Steve founded FMI in 2001. Keith discovered and launched the careers of top models including:

His discoveries have walked some of the most prestigious runway shows in fashion, such as Mark Jacobs, Calvin Klein, Victoria's Secret and Alexander McQueen; and they have graced the pages of Vogue, Sports Illustrated, Harpers Bazaar, W, and Elle. With Keith's distinct talent and dedication for discovering top models, FMI continues to transcend into one of the most successful model scouting and management companies in the world.
Steve Fox – Co-Founder
Steve Fox is the co-founder of Fox Models International and has over 15 years of experience in the scouting and modeling business. He has placed over 200 models at top modeling agencies such as Elite, Ford, Wilhelmina, IMG, DNA, NEXT, and Trump Models. His keen eye for identifying young potential models has garnered him a national reputation as a top scout for the USA and a highly level of respect among his peers and the global industry as a whole.
Before co-founding Fox Models International, Steve was a standout football and collegiate basketball athlete and his outstanding athletic achievements helped launch him into the fitness industry where he served as a leading National Sales Executive in a major health club fitness chain. In conjunction with his brother Keith, Steve refocused this passion and drive for business into the fashion industry and the area of new talent discovery and development. And in a short time his business successes continued with the discoveries of models such as:
- LEIGH YEAGER (discovered in Kansas City) is an established model and is well known for Giorgio Armani campaign as well as appearing in magazines such as Glamour and Italian Vogue.
- JENNIFER WADL (discovered in Atlanta, GA) is signed with Ford Models (NYC) and has appeared in Abercrombie Kids, JC Penny and Belks.
- THIEGO LUSARDI was discovered in Irvine, CA. He was the Inaugural winner of DNA Insta Stud and is currently with Vision Models.
- ERIC WEISS , a well-established model for Wilhelmina (NY) was discovered at LA Fitness, Atlanta, GA and has appeared in major campaigns such as Armani Exchange and Calvin Klein.
- GRACE DWYER and AUGUSTA WEIDE an up and coming young talents signed to IMG and Wilhelmina (NY) respectively
Paul Wahlgren – CEO
Paul brings diverse executive expertise to the management team at FMI. He has worked with start-up companies serving in senior management roles and enjoys the challenge of building businesses. Paul has held senior sales management roles in luxury goods companies in both London and in New York working globally to build brands. Previous to that, he worked in the Consumer Electronics Industry both in retail and wholesale with Philips Consumer Electronics in Europe. Paul holds a BSc. in Business Administration from State University College at Buffalo, New York and an MBA from Nyenrode Business Universiteit in Breukelen, The Netherlands.
Roman Young – Director of Model Management
Roman Young left the quiet surf and sand of his native Hawaii to pursue a career in the fast-paced New York fashion industry. After sending his resume to top modeling agencies in NY for unpaid internships, he was offered a position working with modeling industry icon John Casablanca’s. Fifteen years later Mr. Young worked his way up to a Director and President’s position in one of the top agencies in the modeling industry, Wilhelmina Models. Responsible for jump starting and managing the careers of many top models, Mr. Young now spends his time circling the globe for the next generation of fashion models. Profiled as "The Beauty Hunter" in the New York Times, Mr. Young was trailed by their staff of reporters to showcase how he finds and develops new talent. He can also be found on numerous television shows and documentaries as an industry expert on MTV, MSNBC, BET, E! Entertainment, Access Hollywood, Inside Edition, Entertainment Tonight, the America's Next Top Model global franchise, and “The Tents” profiling the history of models in NY Fashion Week.

Karen Lee Grybowski – Director of Development
Karen Lee’s expert eye for top models, combined with her extraordinary knowledge of the modeling business has provided her with the unique ability to discover that great new face. By traveling the world in search of young women and men who possess the special qualities necessary to be successful in the modeling business, Karen has been instrumental in discovering, developing, and promoting many of the top models in the industry today.
Her scouting for models for Wilhelmina, Pauline’s and Elite Model Management has given Karen the opportunity to discover great talent, but most importantly to empower young models by helping them develop a sense of health, wellness, style and confidence. Karen Lee was a major collaborator in the production of Elite Model Look, a premier worldwide model search that launched the careers of Cindy Crawford, Alessandra Ambrosio and Gisele Bündchen. She was also influential in bringing Carolyn Murphy and Oluchi Onewegba to Elite Model Management at the onset of their careers.
Karen also shares her in-depth knowledge of the modeling industry by coaching young women and men at KLG Modeling Workshops in New York City. Karen supervises the elite model house, has been a guest judge on Tyra Bank’s “America’s Next Top Model”, is a Casting Director in New York City, and is a certified yoga teacher.
Bobby Gutierrez – Model Management
Bobby Gutierrez has been working in the fashion industry for 24 years.
He began his career in fashion as a make-up artist in L.A./N.Y. for top fashion magazines; Love Magazine, Vogue, Nylon, Glamour, to name a few, and quickly branched into the entertainment industry working with A-list celebrities like Courtney Love, Iggy Azalea, Ruby Rose, Karrueche Tran, Echosmith, The Jackson's, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Keri Hilson, Vivica Fox, Eva Mendez, and many many more.
He transitioned back to the fashion and the modeling world where he worked in New York at Wilhelmina Models on the Image/Celebrity division. After 6 successful years at Wilhelmina, he decided to take a new adventure this year working on personal projects managing top models and celebrities.
Amanda Vu - Event Coordinator
Amanda adds a motivating, engaging and professional personality to FMI with her diverse educational background and life experiences. She graduated with dual degrees, receiving both a Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Since then, her varied experiences in: mentorship, conflict mediation, management in the sales industry and various leadership positions has provided a platform for her to delve into Fox Models as a passionate individual who strives to ensure that the three C’s: care, compassion, and creativity, are implemented into all client/agency relationships and business ventures.

At FMI, our scouts work tirelessly to discover brand new fresh faces throughout the United States and North America.
All scouts are personally trained by Keith and Steve. Since joining Fox in 2013, Kamie, Leslie and Julie have shown a great eye for talent as many of their discoveries have signed contracts with the top modeling agencies in the world.
Also joining our team of scouts is Daphine Schuler & photographer Kate Houlihan based in California focusing on schools and sporting associations for undiscovered talent and Christine Yau based out of Canada, she is dedicated to finding Canada's next top supermodel. And scouting in the Southeast US is photographer Jennifer Persons.
