Fox Models International "FMI" was founded in 2001 by top model scouts Keith & Steve Fox; they grew up in Williamsville, New York a suburb of Buffalo. Their childhood friend, Paul Wahlgren, joined as CEO in 2014. FMI was created to give potential models the opportunity to become a real model.

FMI has discovered and placed over 350 models at the most prestigious modeling agencies in the world. Our mission is to provide aspiring models a unique opportunity to get discovered, learn and enter the modeling industry in the most efficient way. We are proud of our stellar reputation in the industry for discovering and managing top talent.


Keith Fox – Founder

Keith Fox founded FMI, he began his career in 1998 as a scout for Model Search America.  Working across North America he honed his skills and reputation and is now recognized as one of the top model scouts in the industry.  Impressed with his vision for finding fresh new faces, two of the most prestigious modeling agencies in the world, Elite and Wilhelmina, demanded exclusivity of his talent. Driven and inspired, Keith and his brother Steve founded FMI in 2001.

His discoveries have walked some of the most prestigious runway shows in fashion, such as Mark Jacobs, Calvin Klein, Victoria's Secret and Alexander McQueen; and they have graced the pages of Vogue, Sports Illustrated, Harpers Bazaar, W, and Elle.  With Keith's distinct talent and dedication for discovering top models, FMI continues to transcend into one of the most successful model scouting and management companies in the world. Keith discovered and launched the careers of top models including Daniela Lopez Osorio, Ally Ertel, Grace Cheng, Sarah Abney, Edythe Hughes.


Steve Fox – Co-Founder

Steve Fox is the co-founder of Fox Models International and has over 15 years of experience in the scouting and modeling business. He has placed over 200 models at top modeling agencies such as Elite, Ford, Wilhelmina, IMG, DNA, NEXT, and Trump Models. His keen eye for identifying young potential models has garnered him a national reputation as a top scout for the USA and a highly level of respect among his peers and the global industry as a whole.

Before co-founding Fox Models International, Steve was a standout football and collegiate basketball athlete and his outstanding athletic achievements helped launch him into the fitness industry where he served as a leading National Sales Executive in a major health club fitness chain. In conjunction with his brother Keith, Steve refocused this passion and drive for business into the fashion industry and the area of new talent discovery and development. And in a short time his business successes continued with the discoveries of models such as Leigh Yeager, Jennifer Wadl, Thiego Lusardi, Eric Weiss, Grace Dwyer, August Weide.


Paul Wahlgren – CEO

Paul brings diverse executive expertise to the management team at FMI. He has worked with start-up companies serving in senior management roles and enjoys the challenge of building businesses. Paul has held senior management & sales roles in digital marketing, beauty and the luxury goods industry in the USA and Europe working globally to build brands. 

Previous to that, he worked in the Consumer Electronics Industry both in retail and wholesale with Philips Consumer Electronics in Europe and the Advantage Company in the USA. 

Paul holds a BSc. in Business Administration from State University College at Buffalo, New York, an MBA from Nyenrode Business Universiteit in Breukelen, The Netherlands and completed the Digital Marketing Strategy Program, Harvard University, Boston Massachusetts


Ming Gao

Director of International Market Development

Ming is responsible for expanding the FMI model into international markets. She brings a unique mix of fashion and retail market savvy coupled with a distinct ability to build relationships and bridge cultural gaps.  Ming grew up in China, and has lived in North America for over 20 years.  Her career began in communications and system development, and expanded to include consumer products and market development.  Ming holds an MBA from the University of Calgary and a BN from the University of Alberta.


Roman Young

Director of Model Management

Roman was Director and President at one of the top agencies in the modeling industry, Wilhelmina Models. Responsible for jump starting and managing the careers of many top models, Mr. Young now spends his time circling the globe for the next generation of fashion models. Profiled as "The Beauty Hunter" in the New York Times, Mr. Young was trailed by their staff of reporters to showcase how he finds and develops new talent. He can also be found on numerous television shows and documentaries as an industry expert on MTV, MSNBC, BET, E! Entertainment, Access Hollywood, Inside Edition, Entertainment Tonight, the America's Next Top Model global franchise, and “The Tents” profiling the history of models in NY Fashion Week.


Karen Lee Grybawski

Director of Development

Karen Lee’s expert eye for top models, combined with her extraordinary knowledge of the modeling business has provided her with the unique ability to discover that great new face. By traveling the world in search of young women and men who possess the special qualities necessary to be successful in the modeling business, Karen has been instrumental in discovering, developing, and promoting many of the top models in the industry today.

Her scouting for models for Wilhelmina, Pauline’s and Elite Model Management has given Karen the opportunity to discover great talent, but most importantly to empower young models by helping them develop a sense of health, wellness, style and confidence.


Bobby Gutierrez – Model Management

Bobby Gutierrez has been working in the fashion industry for 24 years. He began his career in fashion as a make-up artist in L.A./N.Y. for top fashion magazines; Love Magazine, Vogue, Nylon, Glamour, to name a few, and quickly branched into the entertainment industry working with A-list celebrities like Courtney Love, Iggy Azalea, Ruby Rose, Karrueche Tran, Echosmith, The Jackson's, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Keri Hilson, Vivica Fox, Eva Mendez, and many many more. 

He transitioned back to the fashion and the modeling world where he worked in New York at Wilhelmina Models on the Image/Celebrity division. After 6 successful years at Wilhelmina, he decided to take a new adventure this year working on personal projects managing top models and celebrities.


Lucciano Berninzon - Director of Industry Relations

Lucciano is an industry professional with over 20 years in the business as an executive producer, agent and industry consultant for on/off camera productions servicing the advertising, fashion and entertainment industries. After starting his career in the fashion industry with such high fashion model agencies such as Next Model Management and Irene Marie, Lucciano went onto become the youngest television executive at USA Networks before turning his passion for production and talent management into his own successful businesses with Industry415 Creative being a full service creative production company and Passport Model Management, a high fashion modeling agency representing and booking models all over the world.


Linda Xin - Creative Director

Linda is responsible for the design direction of FMI’s online media and content creation. She uses her diverse background of graphic/communication design, UX/UI, and product design to inform the way FMI engages with its audience. Her brief experience in fashion design at Parsons also informs the aesthetic that she brings to FMI’s brand identity. Linda was born and raised in the United States, and received her MID degree from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY.
